Theory

Average speed tends to decrease as distance increases. This is because over longer distances the body has to manage energy more efficiently and external factors (fatigue, need for refueling, breaks) can intervene.

Over long distances, breaks and refueling influence the average speed.

Time per unit is the inverse of the speed: the higher the time for a certain distance, the lower the average speed.

Calculate the estimated time remaining in different units, for sports results or similar.

This calculator helps you estimate the time needed to cover a certain distance, based on your previous performance.

    Example:

    If you run 10 km in 50 minutes, the estimated time for 20 km will be 1 hour and 40 minutes with a speed of 12 km/h
